Happy 1st Birthaversary TKO Tupperware!

OK KIds! It's been a crazy year of Tupperware, with so much happening that I never even thought possible! One year ago today I launched a little home-based Tupperware business, a little something on the side to keep me from going crazazy at home with my baby. I didn't want to go back to work, but I didn't want to not go back to work. I liked being home, but I missed the sense of accomplishment from working, the recognition from a job well done. While my 'stay-at-home' duties have always been appreciated, I personally didn't get a huge sense of satisfaction from them. The laundry being done, you turn around and there's 3 more loads. Dishes done? Just wait an hour or two...there will be more! Housekeeping duties are never really 'finished'. You just keep doing them over and over. And for those of you who know me...well, let's be honest...housekeeping isn't really my thing anyways.
So that was the start of my Tupperware business. I have a training and management background, so I figured I'd throw my own Grand Opening Party (thank you Lorna for your willingness to let the new girl take the reins and run with it!) I spent weeks researching Tupperware Parties and what you do at them. I had only been to one previously and I wanted to do it up big. It was big. My friends and family and neighbours all came out to support me big time and to date, it was the largest party I have ever done. It was just what I needed to do to know that I was onto something big!
For that first party the rewards were amazing. I received all the hostess benefits and all the salesforce perks as well. Free Tupperware products, personal sales volume bonuses, commissions...it was a win win and I haven't looked back! I just wake up each day thinking about what it is that I can accomplish today to help me win again this week or this month.
Over the course of the last few months I've decided to kick my business up a notch and really start building a team. I have 6 wonderful ladies on my team Fresh Connection: Lindsay, Wendy, Tracey, Aimie, Abra and Gail. Helping them to reach their goals and seeing them grow their own businesses is such a great reward. Each of them does exactly what they want, some do it for the discount, others are looking to build a business and still others are just seeing where it takes them...and I am here to support and help each of them grow in their own unique ways.
I have gone from putting on my own Grand Opening Party a year ago to now helping others with their Grand Opening Parties. I have gone from Consultant to Manager and am well on my way to hitting Star Manager (Dream Drivers Monthly Vehicle Allowance...here I come!!) It's been a crazy ride, but I wouldn't change a thing.
I also want to say thank you to a few people who have really made this year amazing for me. I started this out thinking I was picking up a hobby but these people believed in me and supported and encouraged me to grow my business to places I never dreamed it would go:

- my husband Dory who seems to have almost endless patience for my constant Tupperware ramblings
- my daughter Mira for her enthusiasm to watch her little brother so I can go to meetings
- my son Isaac for being my constant companion while driving our weekly deliveries and pick-ups
- my mom Merle for her encouragement and support and willingness to help me use up those extra 50% off items
- my sister Jessica for her encouragement and surprising enthusiasm to buy Tupperware
- my mother-in-law Heidi who is always on board to babysit so I can get some work done or I can get some 'me time'
- my Director Lorna for believing in me right from the start and letting me work on my own "no-stress" plan
- my whole team, Fresh Connection, for working hard and inspiring me everyday
- my customers who amaze me with their excitement and enthusiasm for the Tupperware product, without you I would not have a business to build. Thank you for inviting me into your homes and all of your calls and emails that keep me on my toes each and every day!
